Race for LIFE 2024: Running for A Brighter Future

As we lovingly remember the words of former Real LIFE Chairman, the late Bishop Ferdie, “I run for those who can’t,” we are reminded of the heart that drives the Race for LIFE. 

Last Sunday, September 15, 2024, the Mall of Asia Complex was filled with runners of all ages and backgrounds, united in spirit to be of service to the next generation. 

Around 7,500 participants came together to support the scholars of the Real LIFE Foundation. The Race for LIFE aims to raise funds for these underprivileged yet deserving youth.

We currently have more than 1,400 Real LIFE scholars, and since 2003, we already have 1,043 Real LIFE Alumni. Race for LIFE has been instrumental in granting over thousands of scholarships. It serves as a beacon of hope to many, empowering young people to press on and keep the faith as they pursue their educational dreams and break free from the cycle of poverty in Filipino homes.

God’s heart is for the lost, the last, and the least. 

He calls us to be His hands and feet—to love and serve others, whatever it takes and wherever He places us. This is so they may hear God’s great love and experience His transforming work in their lives.

In the next three weeks, may we capture God’s heart through this series and be empowered to proclaim and demonstrate His love in every city.

Pain, troubles, and suffering are part of life. And often, we can be consumed by these difficulties we face. However, God’s word shows us a different way: Jesus heals us, restores us, and gives us the power to overcome our difficulties. But it doesn’t stop with us. We can help others do the same. We are the salt and light that can reach out to others and extend the love and power God has given to us (Matthew 5:13–16).

Now that we are God’s people, our understanding of our realities stems from the truth of His word and a desire to advance His kingdom. His word allows us to apply His truths, helps us respond in faith, and causes us to actively take part in discipling a nation.

For the next six weeks, we will talk about God’s restoration plan for the world through the book of Isaiah. Join us as we learn more about these topics for our upcoming series:

  • Week 1: God versus False Religion (March 14)
  • Week 2: God versus Oppressors (March 21)
  • Week 3: Jesus, The Righteous King (March 28)
  • Week 4: Jesus, The Suffering Servant (April 4)

We hope that this series will help us continue to be the salt and light, actively reaching people and taking part in what God is doing to restore the world to Himself.

Join us at the Seaside Boulevard, SM Mall of Asia grounds, on November 30 for Real LIFE Foundation’s annual Race for LIFE 2015! Now on its eighth year, the Race for LIFE is for the benefit of over 250 scholars of the Real LIFE Foundation all over the Philippines.

The Real LIFE Foundation is the social responsibility arm of Victory and Every Nation. Our way of showing compassion to the poor is through the provision of Scholarship Grants to high school and university students. We believe that it is through education where the poor can get out of poverty. To date: Real LIFE has granted over 1000 scholarships since it started in 2003. Real LIFE is currently handling 260 scholars nationwide.

Jesus exemplified a life of servanthood while He was here on earth. What does it mean to follow His example in caring for other people’s needs?

In our new series, “The Gap,” each of us will understand God’s compassion, as taught and exemplified by Jesus. After our series, may each of us learn to be socially responsible, exhibiting His qualities through action and works of service.
