Christmas is a season many of us look forward to. However, when we’re faced with grief, lack and loss, we find it hard to become excited or be filled with joy for the season. So how can we still celebrate?
For the next four weeks, we will be looking at God’s promised Messiah in the book of Isaiah and how Jesus came and fulfilled this promise so that we can celebrate the light and life He brings in the midst of our own challenges and doubts.
Because we are in Christ, we can look back on our lives, recount how faithful He is to us, and live with hope. Ultimately, we always have a reason to celebrate—God is with us, and in Him we have light and life.
May this produce inextinguishable hope and joy in our hearts knowing that Christ is with us. Advanced merry Christmas, and may we all continually experience God’s goodness and greatness as we end the year!
