Victory Worship releases free chord sheets for “Beautiful Love,” other 2017 tracks

In addition to free streaming on Spotify for “Beautiful Love,” “Safe,” “Awit ng Bayan,” and “For Your Purpose,” Victory Worship has now released free chord sheets for these 2017 singles on its official website.

In May 2017, Victory Worship released its first Filipino language song, “Awit ng Bayan.” Written by Lee Simon Brown, Charles Bautista, and Joahnna Tubalinal, “Awit ng Bayan” takes inspiration from Psalm 33:12, in which the psalmist declares that the “nation whose God is the LORD, the people he chose for his inheritance,” is truly blessed. The song reached No.1 on iTunes Philippines and peaked at No.2 on Spotify Philippines’ Viral 50 chart.

In June 2017, the group released “Safe.” Written by Every Nation Music songwriters Lee Brown, Moira dela Torre, Justin Gray, and Juan Winans, Safe is a song about how we can find refuge and rest in the presence of God. This track also reached No.1 on iTunes Philippines and peaked at No.3 on Spotify Philippines’ Viral 50 chart.

In September, “For Your Purpose” was released on streaming and digital channels. First performed live at Unashamed 2017, “For Your Purpose” was inspired by Jeremiah 1:5, which says, “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.” Written by Victory Worship band leader Lee Brown with Every Nation songwriters Sarah Bulahan, Erika Hosoi-Murrell, and Jose Villanueva III, this Filipino praise song aims to position worshipers’ hearts to living out God’s purposes in their lives, encouraging them to stay secure in their identity in Jesus, reminding them that God knows who we are and loves us most.

Most recently, on October 6, “Beautiful Love,” the group’s third straight digital single, was released on iTunes and Spotify. Featuring lead vocals from Joseph Ramos and written by Victory Worship member Lee Simon Brown with Every Nation Music songwriters Franklin Asuncion, Moira dela Torre, James Murrell, and Kensho Yo, “Beautiful Love” combines the passion of Christ to take on a punishment He did not deserve, so that we may receive salvation that we did not earn. Taking inspiration from 1 John 4:10, which reads, “. . . true love is God’s love for us, not our love for God. He sent his Son as the way to take away our sins . . . ” (ERV), “Beautiful Love” makes the declaration that the kind of love that moved Jesus to take on this ultimate sacrifice, can only be described as beautiful. “Beautiful Love” became Victory Worship’s third No.1 song on iTunes Philippines and first-ever No.1 song on Spotify’s Viral 50 chart.
