God’s Love: A Refuge at All Times

God’s Love: A Refuge at All Times

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” These words from Psalm 46:1 have echoed through time, a testament to God’s faithfulness as a promise-keeper. His presence continues to offer comfort and hope in suffering.

It was a privilege to serve as His hands and feet by reaching out to the vulnerable residents of Kanlungan sa Pasig on October 5, 2024.

This facility provides shelter and support to children, women, the elderly, adults, teen moms, and victims of violence and abuse. It offers temporary residential care, diagnostic services, basic social services, and quality healthcare.

We were blessed to engage with the shelter residents, offering encouragement, prayer, and a listening ear.

These meaningful conversations paved the way for us to preach the gospel—the good news about Christ’s love that is available to all, regardless of the circumstance. This love welcomes those who place their faith in Christ to an eternal hope and a secure home forever.

Currently, Kanlungan sa Pasig is home to 149 individuals: 48 Children with Conflict with the Law (11-18+ years old), 80 Children in Need of Special Protection (0-18+ years old), and 21 Adults and Elderly (20-89 years old).

Let us continue to pray for them and trust in God’s power to nurture the seeds we have sown. We look forward to serving with more volunteers in our next outreach in December.

May we all remain vessels of God’s refuge and strength, a present help that endures in and out of troubles—through all of life’s seasons.

From Our Hearts to the Cities: God’s Love Experienced in Pasig

From Our Hearts to the Cities: God’s Love Experienced in Pasig

God calls us to be His hands and feet here on earth, to love and serve His people, and to live out the gospel wherever we may be.

In December 2023, we were given the privilege to partner with the local government of Pasig to bless and minister to those in need at the Kanlungan sa Pasig facility. This place provides a space for healing and recovery for those in crisis—including children at risk, teens, victims of violence, and abandoned elderly.

A Christmas party was held where Noche Buena packages and hygiene kits were given to 180 families, as the children enjoyed a time of fun and games.

More than the tangible gifts, sharing the most beautiful gift of all—the gospel of Jesus Christ was the best thing that happened that day. It was such a joy to witness the children lift hands as they gave their lives to Jesus.

Just before we closed the year, a blood donation drive in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross called “Give Blood on Christmas Day” was also held in Victory Pasig. This allowed us to be an answered prayer for those in need of help; our act of faith and obedience surely made a huge difference in many lives.

We see more of His generosity overflow through us, wherever God sends us!

Thank you for praying and giving so others can experience the power of the gospel. Let us continue to believe in God for more open doors to serve our cities and allow Him to set us apart for His purpose this year.

Building Healthy Communities in Pasig and Quezon City

Building Healthy Communities in Pasig and Quezon City

As a church, we believe that we have a part to play in building our nation. There is still so much to be done in the Philippines, but we are in faith that every contribution will lead to transformation.

Two months ago, God opened an opportunity for us to engage the communities of Barangay Kapasigan in Pasig and Barangay San Antonio in Quezon City by providing free medical consultations, dental services, eye check-ups, medicines, and vitamins. A hundred volunteers in Pasig and 142 volunteers in Quezon City, many of whom are doctors, nurses, optometrists, dentists, businessmen, BPO employees, housewives, students, and senior citizens, came together to serve the community with their skills and resources.

In total, 155 residents in Barangay Kapasigan and 455 people in the Barangay San Antonio community received medical services. We were grateful to see policemen, barangay officials, tricycle drivers, housewives, street vendors, employees, and students being blessed not only by the services, but also their interactions with our church community. We were privileged to also minister to persons needing counseling, and had the opportunity to share the love of God and the gospel with them.

It was a fruitful time and a moment of mutual encouragement for our volunteers and the barangay communities. We pray that, more than the medical services, the communities saw the Great Physician at work in and through the lives of His people. We are thankful to Barangay Kapasigan and Barangay San Antonio for letting us serve their communities. We would also like to thank all our volunteers who selflessly gave their time and effort for this activity.
