“For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” — Hebrews 4:12
The annual National Bible Month is always an opportunity to minister God’s word to our countrymen. Thousands of Bibles, along with our One2one booklets, are being distributed to families across the nation every year.
On January 29, 2024, we celebrated the 7th National Bible Day with the Body of Christ at the Every Nation building.
It was a time when we gathered and received His word afresh. Each testimony shared is a testament to the transforming power of God’s word—bringing about change that goes beyond the different spheres of influence in our nation.
God’s word is and must be the very ground from which our societal pillars rise. And most importantly, it is and must be the very ground of our families, and of our hearts.
It is the lamp to our feet and the light to our path (Psalm 119).
This one book, inspired by God—written by some forty authors from different backgrounds, nations, cultures, and periods over a thousand years, translated into thousands of languages, and yet, tells the same, greatest story of all time:
God’s redeeming love for His people.
And through Christ, you and I can be part of that story, too.
Let’s keep on interceding for our nation. Here are some prayer points:
- Pray that the word of God will pierce through our hearts and transform our minds daily. Let’s ask for an increased faith to meditate on it day and night.
- Pray for greater unity among the Body of Christ as we serve together in faithfully advancing the gospel of Christ, through our unique God-given calling.
- Declare a word of blessing for the Philippines. May every family be founded and rooted in God’s word.
