Discipleship 2025: Deeper Together

Discipleship 2025: Deeper Together

To do hard things is always easier said than done.

The same goes for discipleship. It may be easy to say that we love God and want Him, but there is a price to pay for following Jesus. Our lifestyle should back up our claim. This is a lifelong journey.

This truth is what Bishop Gilbert Foliente’s preaching was about during our first session of Discipleship 2025 on March 15, 2025. This is a time when our church in Victory Metro Manila came together as one.

“Anyone can be a disciple if you are willing to make a whole commitment to deal with your self, your soul, and your shame.”

Bishop Gilbert Foliente

As one spiritual family, we did a reality check: Discipleship is not, and will never be, a walk in the park.

But the good news is, we are walking side by side—taking up our cross, counting the cost, and growing deeper together in our faith.

In the end, Jesus Himself will be our greatest reward.

“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.” — Matthew 7:24-25
