On May 23, the city of Marawi in Mindanao was attacked by a militant group. Since then, we have been monitoring the situation and covering Marawi, Mindanao, and our whole nation in prayer. We are also helping with the relief efforts of the Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches, Operation Blessing, and Operation Compassion.

The nearest Victory church in the area is in Iligan, and our Senior Pastor there, Jovir Arcay, is working closely with the local government and other NGOs there. They have updated us about the current needs. Because many of those who were in Marawi are moving to cities outside the affected area, relief goods, such as sleeping gear, basic medicines, hygiene kits, and water are needed. So far, over 500 families who are currently in evacuation centers need our help. This number is also expected to rise as more families evacuate from Marawi.

If you would like to help us give to assist those affected by the Marawi crisis, you may assist by giving financially. Because of the challenge of transporting goods, financial gifts are easier for us to send to our partner organizations, and will go farther in helping a greater number of people. The money you give will be used to provide the relief goods needed.
