Since the invasion of Russia in Ukraine, the war has created a humanitarian and refugee crisis that the world is watching with sadness, dismay, and fear.
In the midst of the terrible news that we are seeing day by day, our Every Nation churches in Ukraine and Poland have mobilized to help refugees fleeing danger.
Here’s an update from our Every Nation pastors and leaders in the region—Pastor Igor Ivanyshin in Lviv, Ukraine; Pastor Oleg Savchak in Ternopil, Ukraine; and Pastor Przemek Sielatycki in Krakow, Poland.
As part of a global family of churches, thank you for extending help and prayer in a time of great need. While we’re seeing many different kinds of leadership, may the church be a voice of hope and faith in this hour.
Let us declare Psalm 23 over our Every Nation family in Ukraine: “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.”
Please continually pray with us for the safety and protection of those who stayed to provide help for those in need. Our prayer is that the people of Ukraine would feel God’s presence. As our church leaders are ministering, may the people not just see it as the kindness of humans, but the love of God in the midst of dark circumstances.

As news continues to unfold about Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, we turn to God for peace and hope.
Every Nation is a global family of churches and campus ministries, of which Victory is a founding member. We currently have churches in seven cities in Ukraine:
- Lviv
- Ternopil
- Buchach
- Novodnistrovsk
- Sokiryani
- Berezhany
- Angelivka
Mike Watkins, a member of the European Regional Leadership Team and a former missionary to Ukraine, shares an update as we pray for peace, wisdom and safety during this crisis.
We are standing with our leaders in these cities for wisdom, safety, and opportunities to minister the love of God to their neighbors. As we intercede through prayer, there are tangible needs that we as a global family of churches can help meet.
Gifts towards this relief fund will help establish safe shelters for refugees, provide food, water, and emergency supplies, and offer comfort and hope to the people of Ukraine during their time of great need.
Philippians 2:4 tells us to “look not only to [our] own interests, but also to the interests of others.” Let’s join together to serve the nation of Ukraine.
