Our First Victory Church in Eastern Visayas!
We have just launched a new Victory church in Eastern Visayas! Victory Tacloban is our first ever church plant in Region 8. This is just the start of many more church plants lined up this year.
The church officially started last January 24, with its initial gathering attended by 176 people. They are now holding regular 3 PM Sunday services at the Balyuan Convention Center.
One of the outreach activities in Victory Tacloban Outreach activities for the youth of Tacloban have been set in place before the church was formally launched. One of which is students getting involved in a Workers' Appreciation Program last May 2009. This program tied up with the local government was designed to help the youth learn basic work skills and be trained in leadership. We have been given a big opportunity to reach many young people through this program. Now, our church youth leaders are actively involved in another project by the local government as youth coordinators of their community.
